It has been a while, lovely followers, and we’d just like to say Thanks for everything :)

Due to busy lives and funny schedules and big dreams, Sherlock Fancast will be discontinuing in order to change into a bigger, more general podcast.

We’d love for you to stay with us through this change, as we think it’s something you’ll enjoy.

Essentially instead of focusing JUST on Sherlock, the idea is to expand into more fandoms.

We want to discuss about EVERYTHING you guys love on Tumblr, not just Sherlock!

Over the next little while a lot will be changing.

Our name, our websites, twitter, etc.

We’ll be keeping you up-to-date as details about the new podcast are revealed, and we’ll be looking for your help and input along the way!

I’ve started working on our donations page, which I rambled about in the previous post.

Right now all that’s on there is the paypal (if anyone has a better site/service to use let me know; I hear paypal blows) donation button and a sort of… counter… thing for the donations.

We’re not going to pressure anyone for donations (Duh) but if you have a few dollars to spare we would greatly appreciate it!

With the start of a new month looming over us, and more importantly the new year, we are ready to get the Fancast kicked back into gear for your listening pleasure!

As well as pulling out of Hiatus, we are hoping to open up some new features on both the show itself as well as on our site. We want people to be able to interact more, and we’d like to be able to reach out to you all more effectively and more often.

Many of you may already know, but running a show isn’t easy. For some reason, it isn’t cheap either. 

We have been lucky enough in the past to be accepted into a Beta Podcasting Program with Soundcloud in order to host our podcast in a place which allows our listeners to access our episodes for free via streaming, as well as through Itunes. 

This program only lasts a year though, and soon we will have to pay for Soundcloud’s amazing services. This means we will be integrating some ideas that will hopefully help us gain the money we need to pay for another year’s subscription to the website.

While I’m not going to talk much about it right now, a few ideas include selling some special merchandise, setting up a donations page, sponsors and other things.

Don’t worry, no matter what, listening to the Fancast will always be easy and free.
